As with the Vintage Drum Breaks, after some time trying to use these, I've realised the drummer's timing is not really up to scratch unfortunately, so despite my generally positive review below I have to say I don't recommend it. Reply

These drum breaks aren’t bad, but they aren’t majorly funky either in my opinion - they sound like a good rock drummer or studio all rounder having a crack at break beats, rather than a dedicated funk master. Are they “crunchy”? Not really - they are recorded well for sure and sound adequately fat, but I would describe the sound as clean, not crunchy. The “Vintage Drum Breaks” are a better pack in my opinion and are definitely more crunchy than these. Each break comes in 3 versions - Just your basic dry drum mix (“dry”), with a heavy dose of plate sounding reverb (“mixed”), and then the wet reverb only mix (“reverb”).The reverb isn’t bad but it’s nothing special either - personally I’d use my own reverb and do away with the reverberated loops.

    You get:
    50 breaks at 85bpm
    59 breaks at 90bpm
    55 breaks at 95bpm
    67 breaks at 100bpm
    = 231 different breaks Reply
